Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life - you want to enjoy marrying the one you love, celebrate with your family and friends and of course, you want your day to look amazing in your photographs! We've come up with some ideas to help you make the most out of your wedding decor - no matter what your budget...
Whether you pick up a polaroid camera (who else is glad these back in production? We are!) and let your guests loose with it, or have them use their phones to take pictures of themselves in a real life polaroid frame. A photo booth is a great way for your guests to really let their hair down and capture some great memories.
Light Up Letters
Make a statement and give your wedding that personalised touch with some light up marquee letters. Whether you go for your initials, "LOVE", "I DO" or "MR & MRS", they make a great stage for your wedding pics and are an extra source of light, which will give your venue romantic ambience when the main lights go down and you're dancing the night away. If you're feeling extra crafty - you can save a few pounds and make your own!
Statement Seating Plan
Your seating plan is one place that you can make a statement. Everyone will have to look at it and making it a focal point of the reception area is a must. This mirror idea is great as you just need 2 things - a mirror and a marker. You have no need to worry about spelling mistakes, as with one wipe, you can correct it. Guest cancelled at last minute? Just rub their name off and you're done!
No matter what part of the country you're from (or part of the world, if you're reading from abroad), there's sure to be a local delicacy that your guests will love. From a Kendal Mint Cake favour if you're in Cumbria, Wensleydale cheese in Yorkshire or pork pies in Melton Mowbray, this is just another way you can truly personalise your wedding. Local ales or ciders are also a big hit, such as the Hawkshead Brewery (which is just 40 minutes away - lucky us)!
You've guessed it...we've saved the best until last! A wedding just isn't a wedding without candles. From these pillar and church candles that could line your aisle to our dinner candles (also known as "taper candles") which can sit on every table. Of course, if you have a favourite fragrance...why not try some scented candles? Many of our scented candles are made with coloured wax - match these to your wedding colours to provide a splash of colour on your tables. If you're short on budget, smaller candles will last the day (even our votive candles last up to 14 hours!), and if your budget allows for it, our larger candle jars make a statement and really do look truly beautiful!
If you need candles for your wedding, take advantage of 20% off all of our pillar candles until July 31st - stock up while you can!
